Founder's Day a Success In the Fiscal Year 2006, RISE provided vocational and rehabilition services to 102 individuals. Of those 102 persons served, our population was comprised of 57 females and 45 males. 45 clients lived in the DeKalb County area, 56 in Steuben County while one person resided in Allen County. The primary age groups at RISE are forty-six individuals between the ages 20-39, forty-eight individuals between 40-59 and eight persons ages 60-76 years old. The primary disability of the clients here at RISE is mild mental retardation with 58 persons served haveing mild MR as a primary diagnosis. 30 are diagnosed with moder MR, 4 with borderline, 9 with severe/profound MR and 1 with Autism. We also serve serveral clients who have dual diagnosis in addition to their primary, which could include visual impairment, hearing impairment, schizophrenia, cerebral palsy and many more.
